The 2017 Toyota Tacoma | Lancaster Toyota

Powerful Exterior
The 2017 Toyota Tacoma is a powerful and capable pickup truck, and it looks the part. The Tacoma’s exterior features sculpted character lines, a wide grille, and raised, muscular fenders, combined with an available hood scoop to produce a strong, impressive look and hint at the power contained within. These looks also depend somewhat on which Tacoma you choose, as its taillights are grade-specific, with smoked-black housings on the Off-Road or Sport trims but also clear lenses on the Limited trim.
Rough-and-Ready Off-Roading
When it comes to off-roading, Toyota is one of the best, winning the title of 2016 4×4 of the Year from Petersens’s 4-Wheel & Off-Road, partly thanks to the Tacoma TRD Off-Road’s Crawl Control, which automatically changes the throttle and brakes on five different settings so you can simply focus on navigating the terrain around you.
A True Workhorse
Above all, though, the Tacoma is a machine for performing work, and it does this thanks to a number of factors. First, there is the Tacoma’s high-strength steel frame, which is lighter but stronger than conventional steel. Then, you have the available Atkinson-cycle 3.5-liter V6, producing 278 hp and 265 lb-ft of torque. These plus the available Tow Package and other design decisions combine to make the Tacoma a machine capable of pulling up to 6,800 pounds behind, or carry a payload of up to 1,440 pounds.
